Baltic Workboats has completed its contract following the commissioning of two 24-meter patrol craft for the Polish Border Guard (PBG).
The aluminum vessels have a maximum speed of more than 21 knots and will as command vessels assist the PBG in surveillance and border protection throughout Polish coastal waters.
Baltic Workboat‘s 24-meter inshore patrol platform is designed for coastal surveillance and search and rescue. The all aluminum monohull provides enhanced crew habitability, maneuverability and fuel efficiency across various operating conditions.
Flexible mounted wheelhouse ensures reduced vibration and lowered noise level in working premises. The vessel is equipped with quick launch slip for RIB boat from aft deck. Mounting for one 12.7mm heavy machine gun is positioned near the vessel’s bow.
Powering the vessel are two Scania DI 16 M43 diesel engines, each producing 550kW at 2,100rpm and driving fixed pitch propellers. Auxiliary engines consist of two Cummins Onan‘s.
